Muttrah Souk, 20 minutes from the resort, is Muscat’s oldest and most characterful marketplace – ancient pathways carrying the scent of frankincense and spice, gold and silver sold by weight, handcrafted khanjars in silver and leather. Arrive ready to look carefully, and to bargain in good spirit. 

Nizwa Souk, a 90-minute drive from the resort through the Sultanate’s stunning natural landscape, is a step back in time. The bustling open-air market is a repository of silver crafts, antiques, pottery, and other traditional items such as hand-carved wooden chests.
